Premiere Makeup Academy

Premiere Makeup Academy teaches the art of makeup for beginners to professionals, covering the latest trends and techniques using European methods.

Internationally awarded makeup artist and certified trainer, Charlotte Ravet launched Premiere Makeup Academy to train future and established makeup artists on the latest makeup trends and techniques using methods influenced from her training at Avant-scene Maquillage in Paris.

Avant-scene school of makeup, offers the makeup technique created by celebrity and renowned French makeup artist Michel Deruelle.  Michel Deruelle developed his own makeup application technique based on the use of cream pigments resulting in a long lasting and waterproof makeup.

Premiere Makeup Academy has adopted this makeup application technique using  cream pigments for full face makeup including eyes, and structure the makeup application by creating the perfect brows then using parallel lines to give harmony and even proportions to the face.  This technique allows for all makeup artist to mix and create the perfect colours and features on their models.

After my Bachelor of Art History at La Sorbonne in Paris, I studied makeup artistry at Avant-scene Maquillage. As a makeup artist I have been privileged to work in industries I am passionate about: Fashion, Cinema, and Television. For 8 years in Paris, I worked as a makeup artist for the largest French TV channels as a supervisor of hair and makeup teams and as a dedicated makeup artist to well known television hosts and their guests. For this role, I traveled around Europe working with international celebrities and was sponsored by luxury brands such as YSL, Clarins, Sysley...

In the fashion industry, I worked for Prada and MiuMiu as a hair and makeup supervisor for special events in Paris. Throughout this time I also worked on photoshoots for magazines and catalogues.

In Paris I ran makeup workshops and managed a team of makeup artists for weddings and events for over 4 years. In 2012, I was a keynote speaker on new trends for L'Oreal Paris rue Royale.

In 2014, I decided to follow my dream to learn English and travel to Australia. I fell in love with Australia and Australians and was granted a distinguished talent visa thanks to my high level of experience. After 10 years of working mainly in studios in Paris and Sydney, I wanted to share my knowledge and experience with other makeup enthusiasts. I obtained my Certificate IV in training and assessment in 2015 and now offer a full range of training services including makeup but also personnal consultation and hairstyling. After teaching the Diploma of specialist makeup services, I was inspired to create my own short courses to introduce students to professional and international makeup techniques.

“When I started working for the M6 group in September 2008, Miss Ravet was the youngest make-up artist in the M6 group. I wanted to work exclusively with her. She did my make-up and my hair on dozens of photo shoots (magazines) and hundreds of shootings : on set in Paris and out on the field in France and foreign countries…… After such intense experience and long collaboration, I can truly say that Miss Ravet is the most professional person I have ever worked with.”
